Wood Deck Restoration
Decks, Docks, Fences, Gazebo’s, Retaining Walls, Furniture
We offer complete deck repair service from a few boards to an entire re-deck. We assign an expert repairman who will identify bad boards & provide an estimate to install replacement boards.
No matter how old, dirty or neglected your wood deck is, we can restore it to a like-new condition using environmentally friendly restoration products. Our process will remove dead wood cells, 100% previous sealer, mold, mildew, algae, dirt & stains safely & effectively without harming your wood.
Our exclusive process involves these important steps:
- Pre-wetting all vegetation surrounding the deck. Washing or stripping the deck with a bio-degradable wood stain stripper along with low pressure washing to remove discoloration & previous sealant. We have 2 types of strippers. The one we recommend will depend on the thickness of the sealant layer we are removing. We remove the existing layer of worn out sealer, dirt & stains.
- Next, we apply a bio-degradable wood brightener to lighten old wood to a like new appearance & restore the natural ph balance.
- To prevent overspray when sealing we cover the house siding, windows, landscape & ground surrounding the deck with tarps.
- After deck is dry we finish sand the top of rails, spindles, facia’s & floor boards where needed to remove any rough spots or splinters.
- Finally, we seal the deck using TWP (Total Wood Preservative). We always back brush the horizontal surfaces by hand to ensure enough sealer is applied to very dry or porous area’s. This method results in extended life of the TWP sealer.

TWP preserves & protects the natural warmth, beauty & integrity of wood. It resists water penetration, prevents UV cracking, resists mildew & mold, prevents freeze-thaw damage, will not peel or flake and prevents wood from turning gray & weathered.
We recommend TWP in these colors: Cedar Tone, Honey Tone, Rustic or Pecan.
Don’t be fooled by companies who want to sell you a less expensive sealer than TWP. Many other products are available at substantially less cost. However, the performance of these products does not match that of TWP leading to more frequent maintenance expenses. If your deck has been done right in the past you should experience 2-3 years of life from the sealer. Furthermore, if TWP was used then the deck will look remarkably good even after a couple of seasons of weathering.
